Count down the days for Christmas with this gorgeous calendar with colors that are fresh like a clear winter’s day. This calendar takes quite a few hours to make because each box is individually cut, folded, glued and embellished. But the time and effort required is worth it in the end and you will have this calendar to enjoy for more years to come.

Each of these boxes is unique and individual in color, snowflake and background. Iridescent glitter has also been added to the snowflakes to give them an extra feeling of winter.

Sizzix Big Shot is a great die-cutting and embossing machine and has been around for several years already. Use it with dies and folders from Sizzix or other companies to easily cut and/ or emboss figures. Paper and other materials up until a DIN A5 size can be used with this machine. Assorted Snowflake Dies
Choose from all sorts of dies. The more you use, the more interesting and unique the boxes will be. For this calendar, dies such as Sizzix Originals, Sizzix Sizzlits, Marianne Dies and snowflakes from the Sizzix Eclips machine were used.

Circle Die, for Example from Spellbinders
The circle needs to be 4.8 cm in diameter.

Scallop Die, for Example from Spellbinders
The scallop needs to be 7 cm in diameter.
|

Circle Paper Punches
You need two sizes: one being 2.3 cm and the other being 1.8 cm.
|

Heavy Card
Choose in the colors of white, two shades of blue, turquoise, green and purple.
|
|

Embossing Folders
If possible choose snowflake motifs or other Christmas motifs that would fit nicely to your calendar.

Wooden Board
The board used for this project was painted white and was the size of 40 x 60 centimeters.
