Crafting Cards for the Birth of a Baby - Easy Cards for a Baby Boy or a Baby Girl
To make cards like these, you need cardstock and dimensional baby stickers or embellishments and about 15 minutes time. The white squares were additionally embossed to give the card a more interesting look to it.

Whether the new baby is a boy or a girl, you can create a unique and personal card within just a few minutes.

3-D foam tape was used to stick the embellishments on and give the card a more dimensional look to it.

White Card
The measurements of the card is 10.5 cm x 14.75 cm. (Approximately 4x6 inches)

Cardstock in the colors of white plus pink or blue
These will be cut into squares to embellish the card

Your Choice of Embossing and Die Cutting Machine
Such machines are excellent when it comes to accurately cutting and embossing for cards or scrapbooks. Especially when you have lots of projects to make, you can save so much time doing so. For this card a Double-Do XL machine was used. This machine was available in Europe.

Embossing and Die Cutting Machine Plates and Rubber Mats
Most machines come with the necessary plates and mats to cut and emboss your motifs. The plates regulate the pressure the machine needs to fullfill these functions.

Cuttlebug “B” Cutting Plate
You only need this when using the Double-Do to achieve extra pressure when embossing.

Embossing Folders
You can find a huge selection of folders to use for your card. For this particular card a folder with flowers was used for the baby girl card and a folder with dots was used for the baby boy card.

Square Dies
The dies used for this card were from from Spellbinders and are the sizes of 4 cm for the larger square and 2.5 cm for the smaller square.

3-D Foam Tape
These help raise your motifs and create a dimensional feeling. You can cut the tape to a size depending on your needs.

Dimensional Stickers or Embellishments
