Autumn Craft Tutorial - Fall Wreath
1. This is the “Tattered Leaves” die from Sizzix. There are 3 different leaves on it. Place the die onto one of the cutting plates, with the foam side up.
2. Now place your paper onto top of the die. You can cut 3-4 layers of paper simultaneously which will save a lot of time.
3. Turn the stack through the Big Shot and then remove the leaves.
4. Afterwards you have several pretty leaves. Create many more leaves for this project with different colors of paper.
5. To make the leaves a little more dimensional, place it on the foam mat and draw a line down the middle using a bone folder or a stylus.
6. This is now how the leaf looks like.
7. Bend the leaf a bit up along the line. Do the same with all of the leaves.
8. Now cover the wreath with paper twist.
9. Add glue to the bottom of each leaf before gluing it on. Placing it on the bottom enables you to add leaves afterwards and you will be able to tuck them under each other.
10. First cover the outside side of the wreath with a row of leaves.
11. You can also corrugate some of the leaves.
12. Corrugating them gives them an interesting appearance.
13. Now cover the wreath in layers of leaves as you please. You can tuck a leaf underneath another. If you notice an area where it seems that a leaf is missing, you can go back and glue a leaf in the empty area.
14. Before finishing off the top of the wreath, make sure to also add a row of leaves to the inside side of the wreath. You will most likely not see this row once the wreath is finished, but you will notice if it is missing.
